Venice, 17th century. The merchant vessels sail the Mediterranean. The ancient silk road continues to bring in riches from the East. The Armenians print their first books: poetry and music. The Jews expelled from Spain and Portugal reach these shores with their strange monotonous melodies.  German composers and Transylvanian gypsies come to study the new music that is being reinvented every day. Curious travelers even arrive from Constantinople, the Ottoman capital defeated by the Venetians. And what about the ambassadors from Scotland or Sweden? The Venetian sea is a reflection of the world.
